Activated Holy Oils

I am a myrraphore, meaning I am trained in the ancient art of healing oils and unguents. Many such remedies are mentioned in scripture. Oils are used to heal both physical, spiritual, karmic, and emotional disturbances. They are also used in rituals for anointing and for preparing the body to receive holy energies. Anointing oils are used in contexts as diverse as initiations, love making, and preparing bodies for burial. “Activated” holy oils are not simply essential oils. Activated oils are blessed oils and thus offer spiritual healing in addition to traditional medicinal properties. Read below for more information.

Pricing: $65 for consultation and oil (includes bespoke formulation and instructions for use). Add $10 shipping for those who will need the oil mailed to them. Not eligible for discounts.

What is a myrraphore?

The word “myrraphore” is derived from the Greek word for myrrh and “pherein” meaning “to bear” or “to carry”. Through the Desert Rose Mystery School, I am trained in myrraphore, the sacred feminine tradition of working with plant essences in the form of anointing oils. Myrraphores go back several thousand years. Mary Magdalene, “the woman with the alabaster jar,” was one such famous myrraphore. Myrraphore is traditionally a feminine practice because oils are associated with water, and water and jars are associated with the womb. (Men can be myrraphores too!) You can read more about myrraphores here.

What does it mean when an oil is “activated”?

Holy anointing oils are not simply essential oils. Myrraphores invoke ancient rituals to call the Holy Spirit, called the Rucha d’Koosha / “breath of Alaha,” into the oil to activate its fire energy. After activation, the oil holds the elements of fire and water in a potent alchemical balance. Calling the Holy Spirit into the oil strengthens the oil’s healing properties and activates its metaphysical, or divine, energies that work on the subtle bodies (the third eye, the karmic body, etc.).

What is involved in a Holy Healing Oil Formulation and Activation Session?

All formulations begin with consultation. I will make note of your concerns, whether they be physical, spiritual, emotional or a combination of many things. I will use this information to create a blend to suit your healing needs. I then perform a ritual to call in the Holy Spirit activate the fire energy, or holy properties, of the oil.
